Addictions Assessment Center

The Addictions Assessment Center (AAC) at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is open 365 days a year for evaluation of behavioral health needs. Assessment Counselors will determine which level and type of care best meets the needs of the patient. Penn Presbyterian Medical Center accepts a wide variety of insurances.

Please contact the Center with any questions regarding coverage for our services. Licensed Nurses and Addiction Counselors trained in the Pennsylvania Client Placement Criteria Assessment Guidelines conduct all assessments.

Hours of Operation
The AAC is open seven days a week from 8 am - 8:30 pm.

The Addictions Assessment Center is located in the 3910 Building of Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. For more information about this service, please call 215-662-8747.

Psychiatric Emergency Evaluation Center
The Psychiatric Emergency Evaluation Center (PEEC) is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and referral service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The PEEC is located at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and can accept walk-ins, referrals or transfers from Emergency Departments. The Center is staffed by physicians, nurses, mental health technicians, therapists and social workers. For more information, please call 215-662-2121.
