Penn Presbyterian Medical Center offers a wide range of behavior health services, including inpatient and outpatient services for mental health and addiction treatments, and specialty mental health programs for older adults.

Penn Presbyterian's dedicated staff of physicians, nurses and counselors are nationally recognized as leaders in addiction treatment. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), which evaluates hospitals against a set of national standards, has consistently given Penn Presbyterian the highest marks for the quality of our services. In addition, our Addiction Treatment Research was named "Organization of the Year" by the National Association for Addiction Professionals and "Program of the Year" by the Pennsylvania Certification Board.

We offer specialized programs for:

  • Alcohol Addiction
  • Cocaine Addiction
  • Heroin Addiction
  • Multi-Substance Addiction
  • Dual Diagnosis
  • Medically Complicated Patients
  • Men and Women

Individual and Group counseling, 12-Step Meetings on campus, educational materials and support, relapse prevention groups, and family support and orientation meetings are available for all patients. Penn Presbyterian has an extensive Alumni Association, which offers a strong network of support after the program is completed.
