Emergency Department
Pennsylvania Hospital's Emergency Department
is equipped and staffed to provide excellent
emergency medical care 24 hours a day, seven
days a week. A 911 receiving facility for the
Philadelphia Fire Rescue Service, the Pennsylvania
Hospital Emergency Department maintains a friendly,
service-oriented atmosphere for all patients
and their loved ones.
The Emergency Department
is the triage and treatment area for patient's
presenting with a variety of illnesses and
injuries cared for by board-certified physicians
and critical
care certified emergency nurses. A broad array
of sub-specialty consultative services are
available around the clock, including a dedicated
stroke
team made up of emergency and neurology physicians
that is mobilized within minutes of a patient's
arrival.
