Laryngeal Stenosis
Laryngeal, or tracheal, stenosis is a narrowing
of the upper airway that can cause difficulty
breathing. Previously, a tracheotomy
was the only treatment option available to open
the airway.
Penn Center for Voice at Pennsylvania Hospital
surgeons specialize in procedures, including endoluminal
stents, laryngotracehoplasty
and tracheal resection,
that open the airway without the use of a tracheotomy.
