Answers to your questions!
The following questions were answered by Dr. Joseph Serletti from the Division of Plastic Surgery.
Judy Asks:
I had a lumpectomy of my left breast three years ago for carcinoma in situ. Would this microsurgical technique be available to augment my left breast?
Joseph M. Serletti, MD, FACS Responds:
Yes, but your case is an unusual situation to use reconstructive microsurgery. You would have to be evaluated for this in the office. Thanks for your question. |
Gina Asks:
I had DIEP surgery in Baltimore in September, 2004. I need adjustment and nipples. Is it possible to have this done at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, or should I stick with my original plastic surgeon? Insurance changes may make this difficult. Thank you in advance for your response.
Joseph M. Serletti, MD, FACS Responds:
We can definitely do these procedures at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 800-789-PENN (7366). |
