Naming Opportunities

Every gift to the University of Pennsylvania Health System is greatly appreciated and has an impact. Some donors choose, in addition to their annual contributions to a Friends Fund, to make a larger commitment in support of a named fund. A named fund can be established in your own name, or in the name of a person or persons you select – as an honor or recognition.

Naming opportunities at the University of Pennsylvania Health System range from physical spaces such as buildings, waiting rooms, laboratories or healthcare facilities, to endowed scholarships, faculty chairs, and fellowship funds.

One benefit of a gift in support of a named fund or named facility is that your gift will continue, in perpetuity, to provide support to its designated purpose. For generations to come, your legacy will endure in providing resources that will support the health system’s mission of care, research and education. Generally, arrangements are made that enable the donor to distribute support for a named fund over an extended payment schedule rather than furnishing the gift in its entirety at one point in time.

To learn about ways in which you can become the benefactor of a named fund or project, please contact us.
