About Our Team
The PCHP outpatient program is
located in the Medical Arts Building at
Penn Presbyterian Medical Center just off
38th and Market Street in
Philadelphia. Parking is free in the
adjacent parking structure. A monthly
outreach clinic is conducted at the
CHOP Children's Specialty Center in
Voorhees, NJ.
Patients who require hospitalization
are hospitalized at either Penn Presbyterian
Medical Center or the Hospital of the
University of Pennsylvania, depending
on the clinical situation. Program
physicians have attending privileges at
both hospitals and our staff works
closely with the inpatient teams,
including other hematologists in the
division with experience in the
treatment of patients with bleeding
and clotting disorders, to optimize
care.
The program is supported, in part, by funding from
the Maternal and Child Health Bureau of Health
and Human Services, the centers for Disease
Control, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Additional Support is provided through the 340B
program through Penn Home Infusion Therapy, the
Auerbach Hemophilia Fund, and the Brandywine
Valley Hemophilia Foundation.
PCHP and Your Physician
Penn Comprehensive Hemophilia and Thombosis Program
staff work closely with your primary care
physician to optimize, not duplicate care.
Your physician will receive written correspondence and
copies of your comprehensive care visit summary
for patients enrolled in the inherited bleeding
disorders program. PCHP staff is available to your physician to facilitate your
care.
