Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse: Inpatient Hospice Unit
A division of Wissahickon Hospice
Hospice is a philosophy of care for people with serious and progressive illnesses, such as heart disease, lung disease, cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Hospice care focuses on symptom relief and quality of life, rather than curing illness. Most people choose to receive hospice care in their homes; however, when a symptom such as pain cannot be managed in the home, patients can choose to receive care in our inpatient hospice unit, Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse.
