UPHS offers multiple learning options so that employees
may have the opportunity to pursue further education
and improve work related skills. This is a brief summary
of what is offered.
Tuition Assistance
Eligible full time employees
can receive up to six courses in an academic
year. UPHS pays the school directly for your
tuition so you won't have to pay upfront.
Professional Development
Eligible employees
can receive up to $600 for non-credit-bearing
education related to their current position in a fiscal
year.
Career Development Options
Employees may choose to participate in one of
two UPHS Career Development Workshops or to receive
individual career coaching from a UPHS Career Consultant.
Catalog Courses
UPHS offers an array of no-cost professional
courses that are open to all UPHS employees and managers.
These courses cover a broad spectrum of topics.
Loan Forgiveness
The University of Pennsylvania Health System
is committed to supporting newly graduated
students in nursing, pharmacy and radiology
who are making the transition from learning
to working within UPHS. The UPHS loan repayment
program is intended to increase the recruitment and
retention of clinicians within the University of
Pennsylvania Health System. The program provides
eligible employees with the opportunity to receive
assistance from UPHS to repay student loans incurred
in connection with the individual's studies.
