NURSING
At Pennsylvania Hospital, our nurses have created
a welcoming, supportive atmosphere while continuously
striving to reach new levels of excellence. Our
Relationship-Based Care model provides the blueprint
for our nurses. Based on a strong foundation
of professional nursing, it also provides the
framework for our values and principles.
Often recognized as one of the best hospitals for
heart and heart surgery, we're also noted for
our orthopaedics and ob/gyn practices as well
as state-of-the-art technologies including The Penn
Gamma Knife Center which offers
non-invasive treatment for brain tumors and other
disorders.
And while the medical advancements we make are critical

who successfully combine the art of caring with
the science of healthcare. In addition, our Rapid Response
Team has been developed to support nurses and
increase patient safety.

Our Clinical Advancement
and Recognition Program (CARP) is designed to
recognize all clinical nurses for their contributions
to quality patient care, as well as their clinical
knowledge, and professional achievements. We
have implemented a Clinical
Residency program for “new to practice” nurses
that helps you excel in fostering professional
growth throughout your career. Whether you
are a new graduate, an experienced nurse, Pennsylvania
Hospital Nursing has a role for you in any
one of our five specialty areas.
Our convenient and historic Society Hill location
in Philadelphia, makes us desirable to residents
of Southern New Jersey, Southeastern Pennsylvania
and Northern Delaware. We are convenient to all public
transportation including SEPTA's regional rails and
subways as well as New Jersey's PATCO.
