Expectant parents are encouraged to take this class in the first trimester to learn about what to expect during pregnancy. Topics include proper nutrition, exercise, tests and screenings, fetal growth and development, and your changing body. Please bring a list of your questions and concerns.

Preparation for Childbirth
This comprehensive six-week course is usually taken in the third trimester of pregnancy. Topics include labor and delivery, anesthesia, cesarean sections, breastfeeding, newborn and pediatric care, and breathing and relaxation techniques. In addition, tours of the Perinatal Evaluation Center, and the labor, delivery and maternity floors are available. Guest speakers include obstetrical anesthesiologists, pediatricians and breastfeeding parents. This course is offered on weekday evenings and on Saturdays.
