Academic Programs

Penn Pain Medicine provides educational opportunities to medical students, anesthesiology residents, and pain medicine fellows. In addition to bedside teaching through our three clinical services, Penn Pain Medicine offers a robust didactic program, with formal presentations four days a week. All students rotating on all rotations participate in this program.

Penn Pain Medicine Team

In general, Penn Pain Medicine has three anesthesiology residents on the service, rotating on four-week blocks. In addition, Penn Pain Medicine has three anesthesiology-pain medicine fellows who stay with the program for 12 months.

Our pain medicine fellowship is accredited by the American Council on Graduate Medical Education.
