Diagnostic Imaging at Pennsylvania
Hospital
Diagnostic imaging performs conventional X-rays
of the chest, abdomen and skeleton. Diagnostic
imaging also performs Intravenous Pyelograms
(called IVPs). An IVP is a study that views the
kidneys using a contrast injection.
Fluoroscopy
provides dynamic imaging in which physiological
functioning of the organs may be observed.
These exams require ingestion of contrast dye
or introduction of contrast via enema.
