Interventional Radiology performs a variety
of procedures using sterile techniques. Using
a small catheter a variety of blood vessels and
organ systems can be examined closely. Many
of these procedures can be performed on an outpatient
basis eliminating the need for inpatient hospitalization.
Certain
procedures can also eliminate the need for
surgery. Procedures include the following:
