Penn Therapy and Fitness at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is one of the region's most innovative physical and occupational therapy centers, specializing in the individualized care and progressive treatment of orthopaedic injuries and post-operative conditions.

The mission of the Penn Therapy and Fitness at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center team is the timely restoration of each patient's physical function and wellness. Because our experts recognize that every patient's rehabilitation and recovery timetable is unique, each rehabilitation plan is designed for the individual's particular needs and abilities.

The philosophy of the Penn Therapy and Fitness at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center team is to listen closely to patients, to communicate effectively with them during the rehab process, and to provide them with education that enhances their overall rehabilitation and ongoing health and recovery.

As a member of the Penn Health System, Penn Therapy and Fitness at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center works closely with the Penn Orthopaedic Institute at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine. Penn Therapy and Fitness at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is located on the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center campus at 39th and Market Street in Philadelphia. There are additional Penn Therapy and Fitness locations located throughout the Delaware Valley.

Penn Therapy and Fitness at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center offers each patient personalized, comprehensive care using a full range of state-of-the-art equipment and the most current scientific knowledge in the field of physical and occupational therapy.

Members of the Penn Therapy and Fitness at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center team are considered leaders in orthopaedic physical and occupational therapy treatment and research, particularly in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand rehabilitation. Our team collaborates with surgeons at the Penn Orthopaedic Institute at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center on emerging developments in the field of orthopaedic rehabilitation. In addition, our team periodically presents their research findings at national and international medical conferences and meetings.

Although they work closely with orthopaedic surgeons at the Penn Orthopaedic Institute at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Penn Therapy and Fitness at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center therapists provide a full range of rehabilitation services for patients who are under the care of physicians from throughout the area. Our therapists emphasize ongoing communication with referring physicians before, during and after the rehabilitation process.
