Living With Sjogren's

Patients living with Sjogren's can find comfort in knowing there are others with the disease. Many patients feel they learn the most from one another in support groups. The Philadelphia-area support group is based here at Penn Presbyterian.

Living with Sjogren's symptoms like dry eyes and dry mouth can be difficult, but these symptoms are manageable with the use of over-the counter products such as preservative-free artificial tears, artificial salivas, unscented skin lotions and saline nasal sprays. (You should always consult your doctor when using these products.) In addition, recipes that promote saliva flow will help in the treatment of dry mouth.
