We are engaged in various research projects to contribute to the growing research base which highlights the beneficial effects of mindfulness meditation. Below are our current projects.

Mindfulness for Multiple Sclerosis Patients
Funded by the National MS Society, this pilot program is studying the impact of mindfulness on wellness of multiple sclerosis patients. These results are currently being analyzed and written up for publication.

Food For Thought
This NIH-funded study assessed the efficacy of a mindfulness-based Eating Awareness Program on weight loss. These results are pending analysis.

EMPOWER: Enhancing Methods for the Prevention of Weight Regain
This NIH-funded study is assessing the efficacy of a mindfulness meditation-based weight maintenance program for helping people to maintain weight loss.

Self-Guided Mindfulness Meditation Workbook for Cancer Patients
Funded by the American Cancer Society, we are in the process of developing a self-guided workbook to bring mindfulness and stress management to individuals who are dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Mindfulness and Attention
Using functional neuroimaging techniques, this study examined the impact of mindfulness on attentional capacity in novice versus experienced, long-term meditators.
