of diseases arising in the anus, rectum, and
large bowel (colon). We treat patients with diverse
problems, including colon, rectal, and anal cancer,

bowel disease (Crohn's and ulcerative
colitis), diverticular disease, problems with
fecal incontinence
and prolapse, as well as hemorrhoids,
fissures, and fistulas.

and ileal pouch anal anastomosis for ulcerative
colitis.
- Treatment of pelvic floor disorders, including
urinary and fecal incontinence, rectal prolapse
and constipation, in collaboration with members
of the division of urogynecology and urology.
- Surgical treatment for diverticulitis and
diverticular disease.
- Treatment of anorectal disease, including
anal fistulas, fissures and hemorrhoids.
- Minimally
invasive surgery (laparoscopic
or “keyhole” surgery) for benign
and malignant diseases of the colon and rectum.
- Screening for colorectal cancer, including
patients with a family history of colorectal
cancer and patients over 50.
