About our Surgery Facilities
Penn Presbyterian Medical Center's highly acclaimed
surgical staff offers the experience, the technical
knowledge and the innovation to provide you,
our patients, with exemplary surgical care. Our
dedication to providing new and better surgical
methods has led to numerous surgical procedures
performed here.
Surgery is performed in one of thirteen operating
rooms, which are located in the CUPP building.
Hours for the surgery unit are 7:30 am to 5:30
pm Monday through Friday. Be sure to visit Admissions,
which is located on the first floor of CUPP,
when you arrive for surgery.
Undergoing a surgical procedure, however, affects
not only you as a patient but often your loved
ones as well. We make every effort to put your
family and friends at ease as they wait for the
completion of your surgery. The waiting area
is located on the second floor of Cupp right
near the operating rooms. This proximity enables
doctors and nurses to easily update your loved
ones about the status of your surgery.
Phones and a television are also provided for
their convenience. Coffee is available in the
CUPP lobby (one floor below the surgical waiting
area) and a cafeteria and vending machines are
available on the first floor of the Wright-Saunders
building, which is adjacent to CUPP. Our goal
is to not only provide you with a caring, comfortable
environment but also to offer the same to your
loved ones.
